Gymnastics

With our gymnastics spring floor, 54' tumble track, multiple sets of elite uneven bars, 4 beams, vaulting equipment, and our staff of trained instructors, we strive to offer small classes and quality instruction in a family friendly environment!

 


 

 

Preschool Gymnastics

Toddler Gymnastics (ages 1 - 2)

This class is conducted in our pre-school room. It is geared towards basic exposure to gymnastics terms and equipment. It is great for building motor skills and hand/eye co-ordination!  It is also a wonderful opportunity for children to socialize and learn to follow basic instructions. A parent must attend class with the child to ensure safety and class order.


Pre-School I Gymnastics (ages 3 - 4)

This class is conducted in our pre-school room. All gymnastics equipment is pre-school size. The lesson plans are based on USAG level 1. Children get to learn beginnger skills on bars, beam, floor, and vault.


Pre-School II Gymnastics (ages 4 - 5)

This class is conducted in our pre-school room. All gymnastics equipment is pre-school size. The lesson plans are based on USAG level 2. This level builds upon the 1st. The gymnist develops muscle and begins to show clarity in skills on all aparatus and floor.

 

 

Recreational Gymnastics

Pre-Beginner Gymnastics (ages 5 - 7 and up)

This class is offered in our 4000 square foot gym! It is geared towards children who have lower level, little or no prior experience in gymnastics. The lesson plans are based on USAG level 3. This level introduces a floor routine to music that utilizes skills ranging from Round offs, handstand forward rolls, to back kick-overs. Memorization of routines is introduced on all aparatus as well.


Beginner Gymnastics (ages 6 and up)

This class is offered in our 4000 square foot gym! It is geared towards children who have lower level, little or no prior experience in gymnastics. The lesson plans are based on USAG level 3. This level introduces a floor routine to music that utilizes skills ranging from Round offs, handstand forward rolls, to back kick-overs. Memorization of routines is introduced on all aparatus as well.


Novice I, II, III Gymnastics (ages 5 - 18)

This class has multiple levels offered in our 4000 square foot gym! It is for children who have demonstrated competency in level 3 or beyond. This class fine tunes level 3, 4, or 5 whichever is conducive to a child's ability. They will have an opportunity to transfer to our competitive program if they gain an interest in that direction. However, if competition is not the child's goal then they will have an opportunity to participate in our annual Gymnastics meet to show off their skills locally!

 

 

Competitive Gymnastics

Level 3 Team (ages 5 and up)

Level 3 Pre-team focuses in on kids who demonstrate a love for the sport of gymnastics and a desire to work towards higher achievement in the sport. These gymnasts train 3 hours a week. They train to move up to level four as soon as the necessary skills are attained.


Level 4 Team (ages 6 and up)

The level 4 team competes at USAG level 4. We enter meets with the Greater Columbus Gymnastics Conference. We attend approximately 5 meets per year. Because we are a family based organization we do not require gymnasts to attend every meet. We feel that should be a parent's decision. A gymnasts must attain an all around score of 31 or higher at two meets before they can be considered for level 5. Championships are normally in the month of April. Level 4 gymnasts train 5 1/2 hours per week.


Level 5 Team (ages 6 and up)

The level 5 team competes at USAG level 5. We enter both Greater Columbus Gymnastics Conference meets as well as USAG sanctioned meets. We attend approximately 5 meets per year. Because we are a family based organization we do not require gymnasts to attend every meet. We feel that should be a parent's decision. A gymnasts must attain an all around score of 33 to attend a USAG meet at this level. A gymnasts must also acheive an all around score of 34 at two consecutive meets to be considered for level 6. Level 5 gymnasts train 6 hours per week.


Level 6 Team (ages 9 and up)

The level 6 team consist of gymnists who have qualified for USAG level 6. This is the last compulsory level. After this a student can do optional levels 7-10.


Prep Optional Team

This class is offered in our 4000 square foot gym! It is geared towards children who have lower level, little or no prior experience in gymnastics. The lesson plans are based on USAG level 3. This level introduces a floor routine to music that utilizes skills ranging from Round offs, handstand forward rolls, to back kick-overs. Memorization of routines is introduced on all aparatus as well.

 

 

Tumbling Classes

Cheer Prep (ages 6 and up)

This class is designed to help students develop cheer skills such as tumbling, jumps, flexibility, and cheer motions. Students spend the majority of class time tumbling. The students also learn cheers and chants that incorporate class skills.


Tumbling I (ages 6 and up)

All tumbling classes are designed to help students develop their floor skills. Flexibility and strengthening is an important part of tumbling at any level. Tumbling I focuses on the fundamentals of Cartwheels, Round Offs, Handstands, Backbends, Rolls, Kickovers, Walkovers, and jumps.


Tumbling II (ages 6 and up)

A student must have attained all skills listed under Tumbling I in order to be approved for Tumbling II. The students allowed in this class are ready to work towards Backhand Springs, Fronthand springs, aerials, Round-off Back hand Springs, and back tucks.


Tumbling III (ages 6 and up)

Students must be able to do Round off back hand Springs in order to get into Tumbling III. This class is geared for the student who wants to work towards higher level tumbling such as multiple Back hand springs, tucks, halves and fulls.

 

 

Gymnastics Camp

Adonai offers summer gymnastics camps for affordable rates. All Adonai camps follow state standards.
